Mics Under a Hundred

Sometimes you can get a lot for a little

Ok, so you are on a budget. That does not mean you have to compromise your sound, if you make some good choices. Sometimes we can't afford the best gear.  So here's a list of mics under $100. There are a handful of mics under $100 that you'll find in professional studios.  The classics, of course, are the Shure SM57 and Shure SM58.  Other's that are ranked highly are the Studio Projects B1, Behringer B1 , the Blue Ball Dynamic,

There's a few specialty mics under a hundred that the pros should have like the Shure Green Bullet

The SM57 and 58 and the Blue Ball are dynamic mics The Studio projects B1 and the Behringer are condenser Mics, and need phantom power.

For the inexpensive home studio that needs to go even cheaper, consider those by Cad, Samson, AKG and others.

To find out which of these are worth having make sure to stop by our forums and ask.  Hopefully, someone who has the mic will report.  Inexpensive mics can vary in quality.  But over the last few years, thanks to the fact that many mics are being manufactured in China, the costs have gone down, yet the quality has remained good.
