Akai says:
THE PERFECT PORTABLE BEAT MACHINE.
Inspiration can happen anywhere. The XR20 is loaded with pro-grade,
industrial-strength drum, percussion, bass, synth, sound effects, vocal and
instrument hit sounds and has the ability to lay them in a groove wherever and
whenever you're ready.
Over 700 pre-loaded sounds, and an integrated
effects engine for Reverb, EQ and Compression put you in full control of your
beat production. A microphone input is even included for mixing vocals with your
patterns. Brilliant backlit pads provide visual cues for added beat precision.
- Backlit LCD
- Bright, glowing, backlit pads that follow the beat
- Microphone input and Headphone output
- Pattern Play Mode - Different patterns can be triggered from individual
pads
- Drum Roll / Note Repeat feature for realism and expression
- Battery Power capability and AC Adapter
Tweak: Interesting development.
Go back to the
Streetboxx
a few years ago. That was a fun hip hop machine down to regions and sects
within the genre. We'll have to see how hip Akai is these days.

Tweak: I keep

iMultiMix 8 USB is already available

4 sub groups fed from each channel
L, R and M main mix outputs
Individual channel 48V phantom power
Direct output on every mono channel

audio interfaces.

ISA One

ISA
One features the classic vintage microphone pre-amplifier topology from the
original ISA110 module.
Tweak: I like the look and the idea here. High
quality, has inserts, simple. If the sound and price is right this could
be a great home studio preamp.
